I, The Poet-Seer Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

I, The Poet-Seer

I, the Poet-Seer
To you I brought
The world
I brought it in my hands
I brought it.
See
Here is not Earth
But another land
The sign
To leave the Earth
And
Yet
Need not passports
For
You will still
Be here on Earth
Still here.

Whenever I see the Poet-Seer in one of your new titles I click it immediately! In this most recent one we find him playing a Promethean role but with such gentleness of gesture, there is no trace of heroic grandeur. Or egoism. But I have come to expect that from the Poet-Seer whose arc of experience has made him a friend of humanity - people, not self foremost. He seems to be announcing a visionary change of dimensions - Life will continue ON earth but not be OF earth. However unclear this future may be, we can be confident of his endless service.
