I Swear, My Pledge Poem by Olufayo Ezekiel

I Swear, My Pledge

With the shining sun,
And the twinkling stars,
I swear to shield you at war,
And pledge to sail for you;
The deepest ocean.

I vow with the foundation of all planets,
With the kingdom of my heart,
And the loyalty of my breath,
I swear to climb for you;
The highest mountain.

With the calmness of the wind,
Fire, I will spring up in river Juliet,
To warm you in cold,
And in one, we will ride the moon's heart,
To share your dreams in my actions.

I swear, my pledge,
With my purest ink in the dry,
And honesty in the wet;
To be your lamp in the dark,
And like your shadow,
When the world despise you.

With my sleepless nights,
I swear, My pledge,
For shekels and golds are not price of yours.
I swear, my pledge to be in your nation,
Even at the crack of the earth,
For my love for you is immortal.
