I Still Love You Poem by Raimi Babatunde

I Still Love You

I take full responsibility
It was not the devil but I
I was driven by raw emotions
Spiced with untamed desires
Laced with immoral affections
I was virile and hot blooded
Then I was led into the shadows

I know your trust is broken
Who even takes a broken calabash to the stream?
I might be a misfit for you now
But remember our glorious moments
Promises left unkept, dreams unfulfilled
How a one night stand can erase a lot
Memories now tainted by one inglorious adventure

I wish you will subscribe to revenge
And give us a second chance
But you are not God, the God of second chance
My life is empty without you
I lost my pride and dignity
The moment I laid with another
For all it is worth, I still love you
Please come back, please!
