I Stayed Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Stayed

Rating: 5.0

I Wanted to Go Away

I wanted to go away,
But I didn't.
He lived in a forest,
And I in a light bulb lit expanse.

Our hearts were one.
We kissed and romanced.
We danced,
And pranced.

I had to stay,
And he wanted me to.
I sauntered through the forests,
And I had to stay.

A timid look at opposite ways of living in the world when truly in love. A great conclusion, compromise, I like it. Thank you for sharing, RoseAnn
