I Stand At The End Of All I Am Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Stand At The End Of All I Am

STAND AT THE END OF ALL I AM

I stand at the end of all I am
And look out in the distance
I do not see the Youth behind me
I do not see the dark days ahead
I do not hear my own voice softly saying I have never surrendered-

I do not know where it will turn
And if it will be as horrible as it has been for many-

I stand in the unknown before the unknown- unknown
And what will be with all I have done and this life given to what I have written?

The long line smiles for rarely do I let myself go on so-
Good morning mister Fool- another day opens before you with a poem and a smile.
