I Spoke To You Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Spoke To You

I Spoke to You

I spoke to you,
But you spoke back.
Your words were not kind.
But this time, I didn't mind.

I spoke to you,
And you spoke back,
In a way that you had to take back.
I shouldn't have to tolerate you.

You spoke to me that you didn't want me,
That I was tired of you.
But I drew him towards me.
And I loved him and he loved me.
