I See Stick People Poem by Jamie Russell

I See Stick People

Driving around in tin cans
With fancy labels branded on them
Oblivious to the color of the traffic light
They walk, in hurried steps
Faceless, blending into the crowd
An occasional smile or glance
Glides off their Teflon bones
See Them:
At drug stores waiting for prescription pain cures
At state stores, searching for liquid pleasure
Fragile people who break and get sick

Very nice. Entertaining, yet insightful, perspective of aging.
