I See Only Light Poem by Dr. Harry Hamburger

I See Only Light

Some see it only getting black
enemies massing to attack

But I see only light
Only light
Only light
Piercing through the darkest night
Darkest night
Only light
Only light

Strip the flesh from my bones
imprison me all alone

But I see only light
Only light
Only light
Piercing through the darkest night
Darkest night
Only light
Only light

Pain torments me in my chest
never given any rest

But I see only light
Only light
Only light
Piercing through the darkest night
Darkest night
Only light
Only light

Some say we are all alone

living in empty homes

But I see only light

Only light

Only light

Piercing through the darkest night

Darkest night

Only light

Only light

People try to make me fear

always making things unclear

But I see only light

Only light

Only light

Piercing through the darkest night

Darkest night

Only light

Only light

Some see only gloom and doom

hiding in darkened rooms

But I see only light

Only light

Only light

Piercing thorugh the darkest night

Darkest night

Only light

Only light!
