I Saw This Empty Vessel Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Saw This Empty Vessel

I saw the Earth's reflectance,
In the ocean's expanse.
The mountains nearby were sublime.

The ocean reflected the sky's expanse.
The sky an empty vessel.
This empty vessel I looked up to,
Everyday of my awestruck life.

I began to wonder who made all this,
And the answer didn't seem anywhere in sight.
I could only see the vessel of white.

I one day took a walk under the sky,
As screeching seagulls flew sweetly by,
And I, I proclaimed...
That the empty looking vessel was really full.
