I sat On The Sand In The Rain

I sat on the sand in the rain,
Large worries I could not contain.
My semi intelligent brain
Thought there was nothing to gain
But I sat on the sand in the rain.

I cannot exactly explain
The world became gently humane
Soon I forgot to complain
Gone, the irrational pain
While I sat on the sand in the rain

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.
