I said (© 2010)

I said to memories past…I was weak
She believed me
I said I was strong
She denied it
I said I was in love
She chastised me
I said I hated her
She was good with that
I said I was done
She was good with that
I said it hurt
She said to bad

Time said times past

I said I was in different place
She believed me
I said I was weak
She denied it
I said I was powerful now
She believed me
I said I was in love
She was uneasy
I said I was really in love
She believed me
I said do you understand
She said yeah…she’s better than I was
I said I didn’t hate her like I used to
She believed me
I said I hope she lives forever
She said nothing…but shrugged
I said I was in a different place
She saw it.
I said to myself all along I was powerful in weakness aka meekness
My mind said it’s the dialogue between love birds turn crows and vultures
Picking off a dead carcass called the past.
On the side of a road called memories
Intersecting a highway called bad decisions others made for you
I turned and said to my life and said I’m weak
She said I know
I said … she said shh quiet
You’re powerful in weakness aka meekness
I said to myself she’s perfect for me.
I said I’m in love
She believed me
I said how do you know
She said because I am to
