I remember the crying
I remember the confusion
I remember them talking
But not remembering what
It was about
They took you away from me
They said I could never see you
Or hear from you
I eventually forgot your face
I forgot your voice
And what you looked like
I told myself that I wanted
Nothing to do with you
They told me I needed to try
I told them to leave me alone
I told them that I forgot
