I Remember Jossee Poem by Anastasia Mimi

I Remember Jossee

I Remember Jossee

By: Stacey Haarmann

I remember Jossee,
her thick, grey and white fur
elaborate with tan stripes.

I remember Jossee,
how I pestered her all day.
I pushed her around
in my little yellow shopping cart.

I remember Jossee,
how I trained her to walk.
She wanted to learn,
so I learned to be patient.

I remember Jossee,
we couldn’t be separated.
As I opened the door,
she ran to me.

I remember Jossee,
those last moments we had.
God told her it was time.
I didn’t think so.

I remember Jossee,
she was only six
and full of life.
No cat will be like her.

I remember Jossee,
how I couldn’t feel emotion
the day she died.
