I Raised A Child
Today i raised a child.
But not the way you think.
I don't mean raising him up
from the ground when he falls.
Today i raised a child.
But not the way you think.
I don't mean raising him
up to the sky and smile.
Today i raised a child.
A child not mine.
I played my part on earth
by helping to raise a child.
Today i raised a child
by supporting the orphanage
home. For tomorrow is pregnant
and no one can tell.
Today i raised a child.
After a perceived wrong,
i taught her the truth
which her parent never did.
Today i raised a child
and i was every happy.
Tomorrow i will raise another
a daily task it will be.
