I pray, I hope
I awake to the gleaming
rays of sun through my window
That time will stand still
as my sons gently
awaken me with their smiles
and their never ending giggles
as I pretend to snore loudly
until they tickle me awake
I pray, I hope
these special moments
last me a lifetime of memories
that I'll never soon forget
These early mornings
with their arms around my neck
fighting to kiss me first
will be a footprint
permanently stamped
within the petals of my heart
I pray, I hope
they grow up to experience
even a moments happiness
that they have given me
