I Once Held Something Precious Poem by Marcus McKinley

I Once Held Something Precious

Rating: 5.0

Clouds chasing rainbows
Leaving tears on the window
Peaking, the sun stares at shadowed drops
Running down dry cheeks

Under the random rays of light
Trees, rooftops and grasses, steaming
Uplifting the spirits that obscure my sight

Searching in the eyes of each transient rainbow
Nourishing my soul in joy and pain
Reminding me of you, this teasing rain
Hoping to be held, by you once again
