I Need An Excitement Pill Poem by Ronald Chapman

I Need An Excitement Pill

My life has gone flat, like a week old can of beer.
This is one of those boring white bread days.
My life has as much personality as an empty cup of coffee,
My life is as exciting as staring at a blank piece of paper,
My life is as exciting as an empty room.

When I am asked, "How was your day? "
I say, "'Oh! you know. Same old same old."
Work has become boring,
I don't go out to party anymore.

Is there an excitement pill I can take?
My mind has become filled with mindless tasks.

No pill is Necessary.

Just!

Fill that white bread with peanut butter and jelly,
Wake up and fill that empty cup with coffee,
Wake up and fill that blank piece of paper with words,
Invite friends and family over for a chocolate tasting party.

Set new goals.
Don't wait!
Don't leave it all to fate!
