I Must Understand Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Must Understand

Rating: 5.0

It was plunder
Lightening struck with thunder
Big trees were uprooted
As cyclone was unexpectedly routed

The season had changed
From calm nature to hostile one
Totally unmanageable with destruction and holocaust
Turning away kindness and disregard for trust

Nature is nature
Many angles are made for sure
Kindness to ruthlessness
Worrisome attitude and so on to chase

I stood helpless
With nothing to complain or chase
Nature may calm down of her own
The damage caused may never be known

How many may fear still?
What will be ultimate will?
I shall wait no more
Look around for safety and go alone

It was part
That gave bad start
I should have taken it as natural art
Death and life is like dream apart

I must understand
And change the trend
Why blame her role?
When many factors are responsible
