I Mourn And Mourn Poem by ERNEST CLARY

I Mourn And Mourn

Rating: 5.0

I cry and cry for my little bird
iI am speechless without word
I try to hide my feelings so sad
though it hurts me all so bad
after all the happy years
now my eyes stream with tears
I feel so helpless nothing I can do
though God knows i would lay down my life for You
My love is stedfast and takes no bribe
I love You more than words can describe
My thoughts are uncertain and running wild
I cant bear whats happened to my child
I pray so much day and night
please Lord make it right
I have faith and a heart full of fear
I wont be happy till You are well and back here
I remember when you had diapers pinned on Your hips
and oreo cookies all around Your lips
I remember when we moved up from the south and You had a grasshopper sticking out Your mouth
no matter what You did it was all fine
I remember You in Your highchair and being happy You was mine
I remember when you was bored and when the telephone was Your ambilical chord
I remember when you come home in Your school uniform
You was like light in a storm
now My heart is so torn
life goes by
and I mourn and mourn
