I Miss Him Poem by Lora Colon

I Miss Him

Rating: 4.7

O, how I miss my darling boy,
The sad hours have begun,
His voice is silent, my heart cries,
One dark cloud has dimmed my sun

O, how I miss my dearest love
When he travels far from me,
I find no comfort in the night,
I get lost in reverie

The moon listens to my lament.....
How noble of him to share
These dark ribbons of loneliness,
The torment of my despair

O, how I miss my beloved,
My sad heart cannot ascend
The deep ravine of solitude
When to these depths I descend

Does my darling not realize,
When he returns he will find
My poor heart clad in sorrow's veil,
Filled with love he left behind

When he comes, my night of anguish
Will turn to a joyous morn,
The dark clouds will be parted then
And a sweet morning reborn

Strikes a chord. He's a lucky man. Expressive, well done.
