I Made You Bleed Poem by Renee' Stretch

I Made You Bleed

I made you bleed
By Renee’

Things I say to you
Could never make you see
How I made you bleed
For your pain I cry so many tears
I should never have said goodbye
Never of made you cry.

I know I let you down
That foolishness broke your crown
Yet through all your pain
You never stopped loving me
Yet you have nothing to gain

I can see now
It is you that keeps me together
Your love stops me from falling apart
This I saw from the very start

I cut so deep, that day
Now you keep bleeding
Keep bleeding
Keep bleeding
I hurt so, for causing you this pain
I just want to die in the rain

You lay there in hospital
You suffer terrible daily pain
Yet you never complain
I cut you so deep
You keep bleeding
Keep bleeding

For the rest of my life
I shall live with this strife
Now I must make you well
Remove you from this hell
You are my everything
You give all that you can bring

But now I see honestly
And I can’t breathe
Why did I let you down?
Why did I break your crown?
I cut you so deep
You keep bleeding
Keep bleeding

I live to be what you want
I’ll get myself together
So that we can be together
In love, as one, forever
Without you I can’t sleep
For my life, is now yours to keep
Without you I can’t sleep

Others you give the blame
But it was me that day in the rain
My hand held the knife
With words I caused your strife
Now you keep bleeding
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding

I pray, please just say
You will forgive me one day
I know you will never send me away
I know you will realize one day
Then go to hell, you will say
I will always love you
For give me
For hurting you so
