I'M Young, What Do I Know?

Rating: 5.0

I see the bad state the world's in
there's corruption all around

I see the evils in business
the greed in profit

I see the pollution that we cause

This world's at war

yet
I want no part...

I see the papers brainwashing
the workers
The media hypnotizing
the viewers

I see politicians talking
big words
and people
believing

These crazy consumer people
buying products beyond their means!

Zombies in the shops
annoying commercials on the box
and giant billboards
I can't miss

Is this what life is?

it's a fake fake world
full of lies lies

I see the homeless
walking the street

and the crime on TV

I see the old
telling the young
this is
how life
should be...

But this is the way we live

it's the only way we know

and I want no part...

I contemplate God
I think of the devil

The clock keeps ticking

My cigarette keeps burning

The pints keep pouring

and
I just
keep
watching

because

after all

I'm young and what do I know?

You know that those before you have got it wrong You know that you care even if you dont show it You know that one day you'll be old and do you want it still like this You know more than the generation before are you going to use what you know You know your not an ostrich... so dont bury your head in the sand....
