I'M To Blame, So Are You Poem by shimon weinroth

I'M To Blame, So Are You

there is so much violence
in the movies, theaters and on TV
I verbally detest, and yet
I come back over and over again

to view the bloody scenes
and listen to rattling scabers
watching gory pctures blurting
cliches of bravado

watching rivers of blood, torture and anguish
accomplices are we one and all
for moments, hours and even days
my hypocracy triumphs

for popcorn and movie clamouring
to ease the tensions of the day
when it comes to suffering
better him and not me
