I'M So Sorry Poem by Jake Tadla

I'M So Sorry

You said something
I did my best to listen
Sometimes, we did some other stuffs apart
I wanted to know what's in your hand
I showed you mine
I'm so sorry.

You wore something amazing
Mine's ord'nary jeans, pants (with the jacket you gave me)
You wanted to dress your own way
I blocked your path most of the time
I'm so sorry.

You wanted to be with your family
I desired to be with you and them
You sometimes wanted to be alone with them
It's just that they became part of my life, too
I'm so sorry.

You were not in the mood
I sat silently beside you
While waiting for your elbow to touch mine
Signals me to hug you with what I have
I'm so sorry.

You were in my arms
I defended you from any harm
My limbs became so tight around you
To the point of choking you
I'm so sorry.

You cried a couple of times
I desired to be the shoulder you can cry on
I never wanted to see your tears fall
But at least I would love to comfort you
I'm so sorry.

You kissed me breathlessly
I answered back with enthusiasm and joy
We focused on each other's presence
As if nobody else existed elsewhere
I'm so sorry.

You taught me how to love and live
I hope I taught you the same thing
We were happy together, enjoying each other
I desire to see that brilliant smile again
I'm so sorry.

I'm sorry if pushed to open your hands for me to see
I'm sorry if I'm that conservative
I'm sorry I just wanted to be in your family's pillow
I'm sorry I insisted on getting the book out from your hand
I'm sorry if sometimes I cover your nose and won't let you breath
I'm sorry if I offer my handkercheif for you tears even if it's sweaty
I'm sorry I went too far without knowing
I'm sorry I would die to see your smile shine again with me

Just one more chance and I'd be grateful for all eternity.

It takes a lot to apologise, hope they can reach a compromise
