I'M Leaving You Behind Poem by Abby Mize

I'M Leaving You Behind

I know that you would love him
If you would let us be
I wish that I could show you
How much he means to me

I think about him in the mornings
And when I go to bed
All the things I've told you
I think you just misread

I wish you saw our story
From the very start
I wish you could understand
Why we split apart

The story behind our lives
All the tears I've cried
The hurt, the pain, the screw ups
Are all hidden inside

You don't have to get up in it
You don't need to know why
The only thing you need to know
Is he is a really good guy

Why don't you wanna know
The truth that lies within
Why can't you see I'm happy
Why don't you see the grin

I really care about him
And i know that you would too
Why wont you get to know him
Seriously get a clue

Don't judge people by appearance
Or by what people say
You have to meet him personally
That's really the only way

But I promise it's too late
To finally change your mind
I will move out without you
I'm leaving you behind
