I'M Glad I Have My Life Poem by Courtney Beaudry

I'M Glad I Have My Life

In silence and in strife
I'm glad I have my life
In sorrow and in death
I know that I am blessed
In joy and happiness
I don't care about the mess
In fear and desperation
Surviving mutilation
Hoping for a reason
The turning of the seasons
Tender, loving care
When my feelings I do bare
Tears of grief to get us by
Wonder if they can see us cry
No one looks through the eye
But yet we believe we can fly
It's why we always whisper our goodbyes
But even with all of this
This life I'd surely miss
Even in silence and in strife
I'm glad I had my life
