I'M Coming Out Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

I'M Coming Out

Worries are few, people can be unkind
openned my heart with a positive mind
seeing it through
release myself of the worldly confines

Time has come where i'm comfortable
enough in my skin, I know who I am
Having the courage to tell you about
my emancipation cause i'm coming out

i'm in control, no longer struggle
coming into my own sexuality
And people are going to be puzzled
Their misconception of morality
might sometimes act as a muscle
to harbor hate

and nobodies perfect
but it was worth it
Won't blend into the crowd
Stand Marching oh so proud

Time has come where i'm comfortable
enough in my skin, I know who I am
Having the courage to tell you about
my emancipation cause i'm coming out
