I Love The Town Of Warrnambool Poem by Francis Duggan

I Love The Town Of Warrnambool

I love the Town of Warrnambool a happy and busy place
In the Victorian coastal City all cultures they embrace
And every race of person in Warrnambool a welcome does find
In the bright and breezy City there's respect for every kind.

I love the Town of Warrnambool I feel so happy there
Where the flute of the pied oystercatcher echoes in the coastal air
The surfers ride on their surf boards where the giant surf waves roll
Warrnambool by the Pacific is a City with a soul.

I love the Town of Warrnambool 'tis home from home to me
A warm and a beautiful place by the Pacific sea
Where most people seem happy and where few seem stressed by care
A sort of an Earthly Utopia such places do seem rare.

For life's better small blessings suppose one should feel glad
But each time I visit Warrnambool on leaving I feel sad
I'd dearly love to live there though that may never be
And few places like Warrnambool that's how 'twould seem to me.
