~i Love The Day I Hated The Beach~ Poem by E Nigma

~i Love The Day I Hated The Beach~

I never thought I'd see the day
Come around and greet me with a kiss
Followed by a kick when I was down

loose lips sink ships and I am drowning
In this current sea of words
Creating this world

It just occurred to me that I am currently
Facing an opportunity to invest a verbal currency
Riding on a tide of rough seas
Where the current cradles me

But just suppose, I'm juxtaposed
Swimming beside myself wondering
What I'll do next

Well first, I'll breath, because I need to take a breath
Next, I'll lean, cause my rights more comfortable than my left
Now, I'm ducking under waves fighting a monstrous sea, vexed

Next, darkness introduces me to death
Haven't we met before? I swear you have a familiar scent

As quickly as I brushed with death
I'm locking lips with a brown hair, brown eyed, beauty
While tasting peppermint

Looking around I'm In the midst of a crowd
Full of Vicarious, curious, creatures
Wondering If I got anything left

I thanked the girl guarding my life
And cursed the ocean for not having enough sand
shooed the zombified onlookers
And made a date with the peppermint lover and her caring hands
