I look to you

I look to you
As nature declares
Its love for me
Its shady green canopy
Sheltering me with caring hands
From the heat of midday
And next by, a gentle creek
Murmuring notes of reconciliation
The voice of God's love
In the depth of my heart.
I look to you
In my foreground
A black butterfly
Fluttering its wings of joy
In rapture with our shared surroundings
Feeling the pulse of life
In every beat of our breath
I look to you
For your love is evident
In the memory of my beloved
As I see her silhouette
Greeting me from every limb
Swaying with the wind
Gentle waltz from every tree
I look to you
As I near my end
My path disappears under my feet
And out of my dream
I shout with gratitude
For I have awakened
Into the heart of love
Touched the spirit of God
My Journey complete

In memory of Whitney

ARM’D year! year of the struggle!
