I Long Poem by Juan Olivarez

I Long

Rating: 4.5

I long to see, a mighty oak tree
I long to be near to the sea
I long to see, i long to be
back in my home where i am free.

I long to see the river run
I long to feel the valley sun
I long to feel rain on my face
and while away my last few days.

I long for southern breezes fair
warm scented zephyrs in my hair
I long for misty morning dew
on sparkling leaves of green and blue

I long to see rise in the sky
the valley moon climbing so high
I long to see it shine so bright
I long to bask in it's magic light

If God grants me serenity
and takes me where i long to be
and let's me see, what i long to see
I'll praise his name through eternity

Very nice, but you should love God whether he gives you what you crave or denies you want.
