I'll Live Life My Way Poem by Ray Hansell

Life has many ups and downs
It feels like I've felt them all
Just when I thought I had it made
That's the time I'd fall

I would do things my way
No matter what people would say
But it seems that some people
Will always stand in your way

They will make a suggestion
Then tell me it's for my best
They'd also tell me to my face
How much smarter they were then the rest

When I would state my point of view
They'd jump up and say I'm wrong
Listening to them over and over
Was like a worn out song

I swear to God, I've heard it all
Everything they had to say
But I've only got one life to live
I think I'll live my own way
