-i'Ll Bet- Poem by Crystal Johnson

-i'Ll Bet-

-I’ll bet he’s disappointed-
That’s okay, I did my best.
-I’ll bet he isn’t satisfied-
Oh, it's okay, he never really is.

-I’ll bet he doesn’t love you-
I know he doesn’t, I’m used to it.
-I’ll bet he’s laughing at you-
I know. He likes to see me fail.

-I’ll bet he’s embarrassed-
I’m not worried, I did all I could.
-I’ll bet he’s mad at you-
It’s fine, he always gets like that.

-I’ll bet he’ll punish you-
I know he will, but it’s not so bad.
-I’ll bet he’ll hurt you-
He will, but only to make me cry.

-I’ll bet you let him down-
I probably did, but it’s nothing new.
-I’ll bet he doesn’t even want you-
He doesn’t, it’s no secret.

-I’ll bet he’ll make you apologize-
He always does, but I never mean it.
-I'll bet he's sick of you-
Yeah, he doesn't like me around.

-I’ll bet he’ll abandon you-
He already did.
-I’ll bet you’re a burden-
I am, that’s why he’s so cruel.

-I'll bet you'll never make him proud-
I know, it's impossible.
-I’ll bet he’s ashamed of you-
Yeah, I’ll bet he is too.
