I'll Be Your Partner

Dance with me, dance with me, I'll be your partner,
Please take a chance with me, hold me just right.

Waltz with me, waltz with me, you know I love you,
When you're so near me my heart is in flight.

I heard you sayin' you needed a partner,
Haven't you noticed, I'm right by your side?
A girl could get tired of wantin' and waitin'
But I'll keep on tryin' to catch your eye.

Dance with me, dance with me, I'll be your partner,
Please take a chance with me, hold me just right.

Waltz with me, waltz with me, you know I love you,
When you're so near me my heart is in flight

The music gets sweeter and the feelin' gets stronger,
I'm longing to move to the rhythm and rhyme.
Please don't keep me standin' around any longer,
Seems like I've waited for such a long time..

Repeat chorus, then tag:

Now here in your lovin' arms I'll be your partner,
Yes, I'll be your partner to - -night.

Poem of the Day

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
