I'll be coming home soon from this war.
My eyes have become so sore
From crying so much
Over missing your soft touch.
You won't have to wait much longer.
Day by day, my love for you grows stronger.
Leave the lights on in the window and the porch.
The flame of our love has become a torch.
I pray that I make it home safe and sound,
Insteading of them burying me in the ground.
But no matter what happens, I'll never stop thinking of you.
I feel so secure, because you love me, too.
I hope that peace comes without delay,
And that I will be home with you to stay.
