If I am honest with myself,
Deep down,
I know where I stand with you.
If I a honest,
I could be content with that,
If I didn't want it to be different.
I know where I wish I stood.
And I know what I choose to believe.
But deep down,
I know where I stand.
I know the simple complexity.
I know that I am being honest with myself,
And you are trying to be.
But you are scared to.
I know where I stand.
I know where I stand now,
Is in a place that is made off of
my and your wishful thinking.
But ultimately,
I know where I stand,
And it isn’t with you.
