I Hope: One Day - Poem by Waseem A Malla

You will be mine forever,
That all along the way,
There will be blessings showered,
And flowers blossoming, for me.

I hope one day,
My life will be pretty,
For it’ll have a possession of you,
And you’ll be mine, forever,
Deep and down in my heart, always.

I hope one day,
My mind will suffer the intoxication,
Of the love, of the growing nearness,
And of diminishing distances,
Between you and me, forever.

I hope one day,
It’ll be just two of us,
A beautiful you and an unknown me,
In the evening, by the seashore,
Lit by a thousand candles,
And by the evening heavens,
With the moon and a million stars,
Just to wish us love; immortal,
For all the days to come.

I hope that one day,
You’ll become me, one forever…!

Beautiful, heartfelt thread, fraught with much love and all hopeful closeness to the beloved. I've so much enjoyed the natural/romantic elements pervading the poem along with some hints of heavenly blessings.
I'm joining the moon and a million stars to wish you much happiness! (Report) Reply
