I Hope Dreams Come When I Die Poem by Isaak DeMaio

I Hope Dreams Come When I Die

Rating: 3.5

I'll close my eyes,
faint into sleep,
lifeless, and numb,
a distraction of dreams.

Dying,
creating my world,
where it's only you and me,
you'll be the one I never forget,
and you can't deny,
this is my town,
where you can't pretend,
now you know how I feel,
because I'll never forget.

Phantom now,
you'll be a ghost,
float through me,
thing's can't be perfect-
all the time,
this I know.

I don't want to talk right now,
thanks for your concern,
I'm so tired of running,
I'll build this armor for sleep.
