I Hope Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

I Hope

Rating: 0.5

To be attracted to virtue
The light within
Healed like an angel
Beauty of character
My darling, help me

I am the man of steel lust
The western outward man
Commercial and stereotyped
The package means more
Now I seek redemption

Loving people beyond the vain
I've been jaded for along time
Do you love the suffering?
The poor, the lonely
I want to be healed

Tears of a heart opening
Fruit as sweet as kindness
Beyond the civil
Beyond the conventional
Lust like compensation

I hope it's not too late
