I Heard Your Silence Poem by Asma Khan

I Heard Your Silence

Rating: 4.5

I heard your silence
talking to my heart
whispering your hopes in my ears and
stirring the pains you felt.

I heard your silence
telling me your fears,
pushing me away from you
keeping me in fantasy of joys

I heard your silence
like falling rain on the flowers,
departing slowly just as quiet as someone dead,
sweeping through the skin,
whether a pain or joy!

I heard your silence
through unspoken words your eyes uttered,
of an unwritten love story
turning into a saga of erased dreams
somewhat seen and unseen

I heard your silence
spearing into destiny's verdict,
smearing over the face of time,
holding all moves of an untold joy
soaking all words in the blood of miseries

I heard your silence
asking me your name,
touching me with chilled spikes of love
gifting me with your presence
in a lost look that you once carried on your face,
slowly bending towards my shoulder and saying,
' Good bye love, we are strangers now! '
