I Heard You A Song Poem by Elna Nel

I Heard You A Song

through winter's north wind
when deep anguish take
and nauseating pictures
fold you in double wake
noises from the past
voices that don't last
keep you in a crimson
unforgiving bubble

when hope is smashed in betrayal
and justice is red
in batons buried
one man's lonely song
still belongs to Me

are you listening

a double moon is burning
through nights in prison break
strained twisted shifting
overrun in hunt
a journey in dreams
from the east in screams

see your face in Mine
I am your Father's Son
gentle and durable
cotton soft and strong
reds and whites in night's
guitar's lonely
but lovely song
