I Have Tried Poem by Adele Katie Bowling

I Have Tried

I have not failed, but i have tried.
It's a fairly good way to spend my time.
If you never try, you won't fail, that's true.
But you could've succeeded, if you only knew
that there really is no 'try' to be seen.
oh, please, please do not make such a scene.
For you can and you do, or you can and you don't.
And change my opinion, I really won't.
For you always can, if you really work hard.
You can win the race, no matter how far.
I know there are downs, we've all seen a few.
But there's no better path than that which is true.
This poem might not change how you think.
But there's always a future for those who believe.
There's always a way to get to the stars.
I'm sure that someday we'll land people on Mars.
If you never leave, you can always fly here.
Keep your head up high, always persevere.
Mountains will fall, and so will kings.
But through every valley, birds'll still sing.
They sing for the night, they sing for the morn.
And they all sing when something beautiful's born.
