I Have To Escape From The City's Roaring Din Poem by Gert Strydom

I Have To Escape From The City's Roaring Din

I have to escape from the city's roaring din,
from the continuous rushing of hasty feet,
to a place of tranquillity that I do adore
where the breaking blue sea is rushing in,
far away from the crowded busy street
at the shelter of a snow-white pure shore.
