I have been influenced by time
Everyday I wish the day away
Then I wonder where the time has gone

I have been pressured by society
To be someone that I am no
I just want to be me

I have power over my own thoughts
To achieve my goals that I have set
I will accomplish my lifes plan

I have been swayed by friends
To do the things that I wouldnt do on my own
I have experienced new territory

I have been controlled by many
Unable to freely express emotion
I have learned to not be a victim

I have been manipulated by strangers
Asked to give too much to fast
I have learned to guard my emotions

I have been persuaded by love
To love so deeply that I give it all away
I have learned to love myself..
