I Have Been Fool Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I Have Been Fool

I have been fool

I was warned, and had heard
of people; most, women:
“Steal heart when away,
cause terror when near.”

I took it as nonsense;
now agree, and confess:
“Beauty, Aphrodite and nymphet, ”
I judge them in distance
(fallen jaw, watered mouth)

I race and; when close
find angel, as monster.

I have been, always fool.
