I Have Poem by Trever Barlow

I have been through more than you know trying to win your affection. I still cannot completely understand the reasons behind why you and I could not try to be more than friends, but now I can clearly see that it would not have likely worked out between us in the long run. I have felt every emotion for you from love, to frustration, to sympathy, and now I don't know how to feel.

I Have:
I Have wanted to be with you more than anything in my life.
I Have tried my hardest to be with you.
I Have opened myself up to you.
I Have shown you the deepest side of me.
I Have thought of no one but you.
I Have seen just a glimpse of the pain you have endured.
I Have tried to be there for you, in every way.
I Have tried to understand you.
I Have done everything I can, everything I know.
I Have told myself that I needed you, when I don't.
I Have done all I know to keep caring for you.
I Have given up trying to impress you.
I Have abandoned trying to be close to you.
I Have admitted defeat when it comes to breaching the walls you have put up around yourself.

I Will Not:
I Will Not be miserable longing for you.
I Will Not worry about you, you will be fine without me.
I Will Not spend my days thinking about you.
I Will Not spend my nights dreaming of you.
I Will Not curse myself for not getting you.
I Will Not wait for you to love me.
I Will Not hate you for not loving me.
I Will Not be saddened to let you go.
I Will Not be afraid to show my emotion as you are.
I Will Not build walls around my heart to keep people out.

I No Longer:
I No Longer have the full attention of my heart directed towards you.
I No Longer dream about how things could be different between us.
I No Longer Imagine what we could have had together.
I No Longer smile just by the sight of your name or the sound of your voice.
I No Longer crave being with you.
I No Longer think about you in the times between wake and sleep.
I No Longer wish to be the biggest part of your life, as you are no longer the biggest part of mine.
I Can Not:
I Can Not care for someone who wont care for me.
I Can Not change who you are.
I Can Not change what you do.
I Can Not keep pretending you will change yourself.
I Can Not keep asking if you are alright without ever getting an answer.
I can Not help you if you wont let me in.
I Can Not win your affection, I'm just wasting my time trying.

I Deserve:
I Deserve more than someone who doesn't care about me.
I Deserve someone who can at least have respect for me.
I Deserve someone who is trustworthy and loyal.
I Deserve someone who isn't afraid to share their feelings with me.
I Deserve someone who wants to be with me.

I Will:
I Will always be your friend.
I Will always remember and cherish what we had together.
I Will always be here for you, all you have to do is ask.
I Will help you in any way that I can.
I Will always be willing to share anything with you.
I Will be here any time you want to talk.
I Will always respect you.
I Will always Love you.
