I Had A Dream Poem by Marilyn Shepperson

I Had A Dream

Rating: 4.7

When I was a child
I had a dream
Of going to school, making friends
And the dream came true, eventually

I had a dream of growing up
Wearing make-up; getting a job
And the dream came true, eventually

I had a dream of a life-long love
Of getting to know each other; marrying
And the dream came true, eventually

I had a dream that over the years
We would have children of our own
And the dream came true, eventually

I had a dream of the children growing up
Becoming adults in their own right; leaving home
And the dream came true eventually

I had a dream of our children
Having children of their own; our grandchildren
And the dream came true, eventually

I had a dream of us two on our own
Growing older together; closer than ever
And that dream is still going on.

There is nothing more beautiful then a dream that goes on (and tenderly told) … a good dream that is… 10 from CJ
