I Got A New Sense Of Style Last Night Poem by Evangalene Lenway

I Got A New Sense Of Style Last Night

Rating: 3.5

I got a new sense of style last night
One that expresses my feelings just right
Ready to flaunt myself to all in sight
'I got a new sense of style last night'

The style consists of boots that are white
My pants are red, ready to ignite
A vest of fur covers a pink shirt that is tight
I got a new sense of style last night

Looking in the mirror, feeling just right
My sense of style is burning bright
I come downstairs in eager delight
To show off my style (but be polite)

I clear my voice, ready to take flight
Mom looks bitten by a parasite
Then she screams with all her might
'TAKE THAT OFF' as she turns white

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When I was nine I had my own sense of style. This poem is to thank my mother for not letting me out of the house in the most outrageous of outfits.
