I Fight To See Another Day Poem by Christina Simmons

I Fight To See Another Day

Rating: 5.0

You stripped me naked, robbed of everything!
My smile, laughter, the ability to give safe hugs
My joy of life!

I was left with silence; within this quietness
I found the strength to fight on, to see another
day become night and so on...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem gives a brief account of the human spirit to survive at all cost. In spite of tragedies. It's about me after I was recovering fromlife threatening brain surgery. Even though the man I thought I had loved. And felt he had the same desires for me. Basically took my world from me, including my children. The whole episode provoked an acoustic neuroma.
