I Don'T Understand.... Poem by Nora Eason

I don't understand..
Why people say, freedom is free.
Why people don't take the time to think
of all that we have lost.
Why they don't stop and count the cost.

Most of all,
I don't understand..
Why people just don't care,
Why families bicker year after year.
Why Congress refuses to get up off they're
Sweet aspirations, and do the job they
were put there to do.

But what I do understand the most is..
Why I don't have to worry,
Why I still have Peace in the mids't
of all this mess.
Why I don't have to hang my head down
and cry,
Because I know who holds me, and Comforts me,
And will never leave nor forsake me, and
He sticks closer than a Brother,
And He is My Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ.
And I Hope and Pray, You will get
to know Him too.
